Here are some shots of my brief time serving in the 504th Paratrooper Infantry Regiment - Reenacting. These were some of the best guys I've ever had the privilege of hanging out with - dedicated to preserving and honoring the memory of the World War II conflict. Besides being an honor to uphold such a memory, it was a lot of fun. No, not fun to freeze in a tent in the mountains and eat jerkey in a dirt hole. But there's something about seeing your buds in the old uniforms and steel pots sneaking in the woods beside you while an MG-42 rattles menacingly in the distance. When you see those Germans peeking their heads up you get the smallest whiff of what it must have been like to know the poop's about to hit the fan.
