Campaign: Quest of the Eight Pointed Star
It is the year 490 in the fourth age of Nemmerle. Good King Hyrennus of Treviland is dead. The land is embroiled in a war of succession between Princess Nimue, Hyrennus' sole heir, and Duke Morley of Novulum.
A band of adventurers, dubbed the Black Arrows among the commoners for their alleged roles as king-slayers, have been cleared of the king's assassination by implicating Earl Herlors of Pelham.
In the midst of this the church of Heironeous has unexpectedly seized upon an obscure Prophecy of the Eight-Pointed Star and launched a holy quest to find the Scepters of Power, legendary for defending against encroaching powers of darkness when most needed. Uniting under the quest banner of the serpent, our heroes join other questing parties in search of the elusive and ancient Scepters, which may hold the key to saving the entire land.

The Heroes of Our Tale
Ezmerelda - A dark-haired gypsy with mysterious arcane powers. Travelling with nomadic people known as 'the Family', she endures a blood feud between herself and her cousin.
Mira - A precocious young half-elf rogue with a penchant for getting into trouble.
Dantric Zaramosa - A soldier of Treviland, in the service of Duke Kereth of Kendor. Upon Kereth's death, he has been charged with finishing the Duke's unfinished quest.
Arcturus Artanmides - A soldier of Treviland, in the service of Sir Kereth of Kendor. Wine, women, song - enough to entertain any soldier, but he is bound to Dantric as a friend and will help him in his quest. He is also smitten with the dancing sorceress Ezmerelda.
Magus Armando - wizard from the Academy Lostros of Kendor. His past is a mystery but he works to unravel the mystery of the Horex now.
Thibault Monferrasse - Priest of Heironeous from the kingdom of Plenios. He carries a great burden, but is a seeker of truth in an ecclesiastical maze.
Sigmund Stein - paladin of Heironeous who seeks to earn the honor of his family name by leading a questing party for the Church of Heironeous
Helehuidhor - A ranger from the Elven kingdom of Aldalinh, Helehuidhor suffered through the wars between humans and elves when Plenios and Tirudor attacked his peoples woodland stronghold. Even after a hard-fought peace was agreed upon, the one called "Cold Hand" still harbors hatred for mankind and wanders the world on his own terms.

Halfgrim - a barbarian from Norgarde
Anaria - An elf of royal blood from Adulien who has forsaken court to live in the wild. Now she finds the mystical creatures of the wood in need of her ranger skills.
Dymus - A charming half-elf who is as good with a song as he is with a sword. Trying his luck in Kendor, he got caught up in trouble - but at least it will be good for another tale to tell.
Yggri Slagbiter - A pious dwarf and priest of Moradin, administering aid and protecting the innocent. He is charged to render aid to the church at Kendor.
