The first ever Web-based Imperial Stormtrooper Division

squad patch Stormtroopers: deadly shock troops of the Emperor. Heartless, fearless, tenacious soldiers of unwavering loyalty who crush the enemies of the Galactic Empire.

This archive commemorates the greatest of all Stormtrooper units: the legendary Fighting 501st Squad, known as 'Vader's Hand'. Commissioned after the fall of the Old Republic, the 501'st distinguished itself in hunting down and destroying scores of Rebel cells and outposts. Their accomplishments won the attention of the Emperor's right-hand man, Lord Vader, who made them his personal guard.

Whenever Vader's aims fall outside the realm of the Imperial bureaucracy, he calls upon the 501st to accomplish his bidding. The only cross-disciplinary squad in the Empire, it is composed of every kind of trooper, pilot, scout or driver. Whatever agenda Lord Vader pursues, he is assured of the specialized manpower to accomplish it. The 501'st is ready to be deployed to his side at a moment's notice. This resource is a testimony to Vader's power and often baffles generals who wonder how he manages to wage campaigns with little or no involvement in the normal ranks.

What's so great about stormtroopers? Even the celebrities agree they're the coolest:

"I always wanted to be in a stormtrooper outfit. They're the sexiest uniform that's ever been in movies. It's the best-looking thing ever, the stormtrooper. Maybe they'll be coming up in Episode II or III, so let's just see if I can contain myself."

The Fighting 501st squad is the first and only organized group for people who own and proudly wear the costumes of the stormtroopers from the Star Wars movies. If you own a suit of stormtrooper armor of any kind and would like to enlist, just email the 501st Squad Leader TK210 and join the Empire for real!

All you need is a suit of armor to join - there are no fees, no requirements. This is just a fun, non-profit gathering of fans honoring the characters of George Lucas' wonderful imagination. This page is dedicated to him and to his vision.

Just email TK210 and send him a picture of you in the armor, your full name, your email address, where you're from (city, state, country), any web page address where one can see more of your suit(s), and lastly the numerical designation you want to go by. In the first movie, one of the troopers was called 'TK421' so we adopted this. A good rule of thumb is to use your numerical birthdate - for example February 10th is TK210. Feel free to submit more than one costume if you have them and you'll be entered under each appropriate category. That's it! You'll be signed up immediately and whisked away via hyperspace to your nearest training center!
