501st Rose Bowl Parade LEGO Diorama Project

You can't spell "Legion" without "LEGO"!

On January 1, 2007 two hundred members of the 501st Legion were invited by George Lucas to march in the Rose Bowl parade. It was an epic moment to show the world that the Legion can represent the world of Star Wars with pride.

On January 1, 2013 we announced the beginning of the Rose Parade LEGO Diorama Project to gather 200+ LEGO Stormtrooper figures and other assorted figures to recreate that epic scene and have it available to show at massive Legion events (shooting for CVII in 2014!).

The plan:

This will be a visual center piece to recreate that day in 2007 and inspire troopers and future troopers to greater heights. Plus, it will just look plain cool.

How can you help?

Got any spare LEGO figures lying around? We need any regular old LEGO figure to fill the stands! Your figure can be part of the display! We'll even put you on the Roster of Sponsors that will travel with the display, proudly showing that you are part of the event!

You can ship any figures to:

501st LEGO Diorama Project
C/O Albin Johnson
300 Braewick Rd
Columbia, SC 29212

Or for just $8 you can sponsor a trooper - paypal to trooper.tk210@gmail.com
Tell us if there is a specific person from the parade you want to sponsor (check the marching grid button to see who was there!).

Here's a mock-up of what we have in mind, click on the thumbnail to see it larger! Please feel free to contact me to regarding proper placement, numbers, names, or corrections at trooper.tk210@gmail.com with the subject line "501st Diorama"

Together, we can recreate a memorable piece of history!
